An iconic, award-winning, publication asked Secure Source to investigate the Zimbabwe government’s controversial efforts to take baby elephants from their mothers and export them to other countries. Secure Source worked with undisclosed contacts and provided pro bono services to investigate the government sponsored program. The investigation revealed the location and condition of the elephants. The client was able to use the information provided by Secure Source to draw the attention of the international community to the elephants’ plight. Subsequently, in January 2018, Zimbabwe banned the export of live elephants and other endangered animals.
