Surveillance detection and avoidance techniques -- Review methods used by adversaries to perform surveillance and the most effective means utilized to thwart such activity.
Principles of attack prevention -- Study various attack and kidnap phases used by criminal groups and methods of detecting and interrupting them. Includes detailed case studies of attacks and kidnappings of corporate executives.
Route and vehicle security -- Discuss principles of route selection, mobile security, identification of choke points, vehicle bomb search techniques and protective measures.
Driver training -- Classroom training concerning the physics of the vehicle, routine maintenance checks, proper steering and seating positions and braking techniques.
Evasive driver techniques -- Hands on driving instruction includes:
- Serpentine exercises to test for proper vehicle control
- Controlled straight-line braking at a high rate of speed
- Swerve-to-avoid exercise to test reflexes and decision making skills
- High speed turns as escape maneuvers
- Accident avoidance maneuvers and techniques
- Ramming principles needed to push through a barricade situation
Trainees are instructed in the proper techniques of vehicle control under stressful conditions and the use of evasive maneuvers to escape dangerous or attack situations.
Typically, the evasive driver training experience is conducted over a two-day period and is available in English, Spanish, or Portuguese.
